Attendance Policy

Participation in online academy consists of three parts.

  1. Weekly contact consists of a phone call, a visit, or an email exchange (this can be you asking a question about work, or just telling your advisor that you are checking in and doing well, but does not include sending in homework or logging into Plato).
  2. A timesheet is a log of the hours you have put in that week. Your timesheet should consist of at least 25 hours per week for full-time enrollment.
  3. Your workload should match the hours you put in each week. As a general rule, you have 45 days to finish most classes (in Advanced Academics), so each week you should be getting approximately 15% of each of the three classes you are working on done.

These three parts will help you to be a successful online student. If you are not fulfilling these three parts of your attendance, you are at risk of being put on academic probation, transferred out of online academy, or even filed in the court system under the BECCA bill. See our timeline below for specifics on our attendance policy.
