Email is an easy and important method of contact with your teachers. Email will allow you to turn things in to your teacher, or contact him or her on a weekly basis. Below are several sites that offer free email services. Feel free to use any of these sites at your discretion.
Gmail - This is an excellent email site that includes free downloading to pop3 or imap and has free email forwarding. It includes good, but currently less popular instant messenging / voice messaging service.
Yahoo! - Is a classic favorite. It includes access to Yahoo! groups as well as Yahoo! Instant Messenger.
AIM - Probably the most popular of instant messenging services, AIM now offers email with it’s screennames.
Hotmail - Also a fairly commonly used email and instant messaging service. This options requires software installation to sign up.
These are four of the most popular free email clients, but also remember there are many more out there, and often your internet service provider will offer email address with it’s service.
