The district’s summer school program is an opportunity for students to retrieve credits in core academic areas. The program is available for all students in the district who have failed required 9^th-12^th grade graduation courses. If you are interested, follow the four steps below to earn your credits.

1. Fees

In-district students $125 per 0.5 credit course
Out-of-district students $175 per 0.5 credit course

Reduced fee for students who qualify for free (50% discount) or reduced (25% discount) lunch.

Refunds will be offered under the following circumstances:

• Full refund if class is cancelled due to low enrollment or teacher limit
• Full refund if student withdraws from class prior to orientation
• Full refund if student withdraws from class within 1 week after orientation
• 50% refund if student withdraws from class within 2 weeks after orientation
• NO REFUND after 2 weeks

2. Registration for 2009

May 18 to June 12: MAIL IN with check or money order, NO cash

3. Orientation

Once your registration has been approved, you will be assigned an orientation session. The time and date will be given to you with your acceptance. Orientations are held at Challenger High School.

4. Complete Your Coursework

Courses must be completed by August 7, 2008.

• If successfully completed, the course will receive a letter grade.
• If not completed, the course will receive an NC (No Credit) grade.
